It might be high time to do a double-take, because at first glance, it sure seems like the 1980s.
It feels that way with the new complete-series DVD releases of two iconic 1980s TV shows by two different distribution companies.
Who can forget Robert Urich as Dan Tanna in “Vega$” or Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers as suave super-couple detectives in “Hart to Hart”?
“Vega$: The Complete Series” (Paramount Home Video Distribution/CBS Home Entertainment) archives a show that actually started in the 1970s but certainly made its mark in the early 1980s. The boxed set contains 57 hours of Sin City entertainment.
“Hart to Hart: The Complete Series” (Shout! Factory) is on DVD for the first time as a complete series. The original 97-minute pilot and all 110 episodes are presented here, representing the entire five-season run. The gorgeous costumes are, well, still gorgeous.
