Indianapolis’ own Heartland Film Festival honored Brian Dennehy three months ago for the Pioneering Spirit: Lifetime Achievement Award, which was timed on the 10th anniversary of “The Ultimate Gift.” Of course, that movie was followed by “The Ultimate Life.” Now, it’s time for “The Ultimate Legacy” to shine.
“The Ultimate Legacy” (Cinedigm) is available on DVD and is also based on the acclaimed author and motivational speaker Jim Stovall’s best-selling “Ultimate Gift” book series. The journey continues for Jason Stevens (played by Logan Bartholomew) as he learns firsthand the value of teaching. Cast members include Denney, Lee Meriwether and Raquel Welch.

“GIRLS: The Complete Fifth Season” (HBO Home Entertainment) is a terrific comedy series that follows assorted humiliations (and occasional triumphs) of mid-20s females, all facing new challenges in life and love.
