‘Guardians’ video game rises to the top

Video GameIn the last push before Christmas gift exchanges, video game makers are tempting consumers with quality titles.

Playing off the DreamWorks animated movie “Rise of the Guardians,” the D3Publisher has released “Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game.” On Xbox 360 and Wii U, this game provided thrills as an action-packed adventure game where each Guardian has their own set of upgradable and extraordinarily abilities. Classic childhood legends include North (aka Santa Claus), Tooth (aka the Tooth Fairy), Bunnymund (aka the Easter Bunny), Sandman and Jack Frost. How cool!

D3Publishing also comes through with other winning titles. The Wii U of “Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade” allows competitors to navigate through multiple locations in “Family Party Land,” which is a remote island divided by themed environments and obstacles. The obstacles are wacky and the play is addictive and fun. Similarly, the Wii U of “Ben 10: Omniverse” is addictive, plus it is the only video game based on the highly anticipated Cartoon Network TV series. Players can play both as young Ben and teen Ben. Other enjoyable D3Publishing titles include “Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!!” (Nintendo DS) and “Victorious: Taking the Lead” (Wii).

Wii U is the perfect platform for “Scribblenauts Unlimited” (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment), which is accentuated by the touch screen on the Wii U GamePad, giving players an innovative way to interact with the action in-game. The game features huge side-scrolling open world with all new, high-definition, hand-drawn scenery and objects where players can help Maxwell solve robust puzzles and challenges by creating any object they can imagine. Maxwell’s magic backpack is amazing.
